This article appeared in the Portland (Maine) Press herald today. I’ve been to this tool store. It’s about a hundred miles up the road from me. Tons of used tools and the guy is looking to pass it on to someone to carry on the tradition. The town doesn’t look like much but the surrounding towns are literally artisan areas in Maine.

See it here, with video.

An impressive place for sure. At $650,000 it seems like a pretty fair price. The existing inventory has to be worth more than that.

Man that sounds awesome. If I were out that way I think I’d seriously give it a go.

If I could teleport.. hells yes! I would take up that offer right now.
I never know he existed, but now that do.. I feel that familiar loss of another small tool shop owner.
In my retirement fantasy… I care for honey bees (and make mead), raise rabbits.. and have a little shop of woodworking trinkets, wood, and tools…

I grew up in Waldo County, I have been to Liberty many times when I was a kid never knew this place was there. The next time I go home to visit I’m going to check this place out if it is still open.

I wish the gentleman success and the same for whomever is lucky enough to be in a position to buy the store.
