The Chinese caligraphy is a reference to our house built on a slope in central Florida. The house is a two story split front to back. Two stories at the lake side, way up in the trees at the top story and because of the soil conditions the footers are 30” wide. The caligraphy reads ” The house with big feet and birds in it’s hair.” After twenty two years I thought it was time to get my woodworking stuff off the patio. The lay of the land was perfect for an elevated deck with the shop on top. Lawn equipment under the deck. So…, right now it’s a work in progress. I’ll keep you posted.
The deck is 22×24, the shop will be 16×20.

Looks like a neat way to utilize the topography of your place.
