Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I've only been wood working for about 6 months, but I guess looking backI can say that its been in my blood since I got a job in highschool framing houses. I've always enjoyed the sense of satisfaction of completing a physcical project which differs vastly from my day job in banking where everything is on computers and in the air. My woodworking started after I finished renovating my 4-story brownstone and found myself withour projects. My first project was an oak coffee table that turned out to be a side-table becuase it was too small. Then I moved onto a coffee table and then a Stickly replica console table. I just finished an oak desk and am in the process of a solid walnut file cabinet for a friend. Think I'm finally starting to the hang of things. Funny, in that the more I build the more I get into it. Its honestly all I think about day and night. Needless to say, I'm hooked. Can't wait until 5pm so I can get home and start tonight.
I look forward to the insight of those much more experienced than me and also look fowrard to sharing some of my projects!
David
