Banker by trade however I spend most of my time in my shop (one car garage). Seems as if I've got the "bug" and can't get enough of it.

Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I’ve only been wood working for about 6 months, but I guess looking backI can say that its been in my blood since I got a job in highschool framing houses. I’ve always enjoyed the sense of satisfaction of completing a physcical project which differs vastly from my day job in banking where everything is on computers and in the air. My woodworking started after I finished renovating my 4-story brownstone and found myself withour projects. My first project was an oak coffee table that turned out to be a side-table becuase it was too small. Then I moved onto a coffee table and then a Stickly replica console table. I just finished an oak desk and am in the process of a solid walnut file cabinet for a friend. Think I’m finally starting to the hang of things. Funny, in that the more I build the more I get into it. Its honestly all I think about day and night. Needless to say, I’m hooked. Can’t wait until 5pm so I can get home and start tonight.
I look forward to the insight of those much more experienced than me and also look fowrard to sharing some of my projects!
David
