« Part 5: Very humid today, paint is still wet! Part 6 of Bass / Guitar Players pedalboard build series Part 7: Pedal Board for bass done. Some mistakes, some success. »

So coat #1 being done in 2 parts, top, then bottom, is still drying on the bottom. It would appear I managed to get a few runs in the paint as well. Not sure I care, the idea is matte black to reduce the visible stage presence of this device. The intent behind this is functional with “5 foot” looks, as in if you can’t tell the problems at 5 feet away they don’t matter.

The humidity around me has been fluctuating like crazy this week, so the paint is taking forever to dry. I am not certain at this point I am going to even bother with another coat or 2, we will see.

And as a reminder, I needed to build 2 of these, 1 for the bass rig, 1 for guitar. I will grab a can of Krylon matte black spray paint, and probably leaving one screw a bit prod to act as a hanger, and then spray rig this and let it dry suspended, that should help a LOT…
