All because of the low interest rates, LOML and I are trying to refinance….
Now I have refinanced before, and it was no big deal. There was no home inspection, just a quick drive by…
From what the bank is telling me, that’s all changed due to the lending laws that passed in 2009 and 2010, so now, in order to refinance our loan, to get a lower rate and more affordable payment, while keeping with our payoff schedule, we need to have the house presentable, as in staged for sale effectively…
So all those nagging honey do jobs that I have been taking forever to do, need to be done in the next 2 to 3 weeks. They include repairing sheet rock, replacing trim, texturing, painting, and since I can’t afford new carpets where the edges are frayed, making and installing tile to carpet thresholds before the carpet cleaners come by…
All while I am at it, I need to replace a failed ceiling fan, strip and refinish my cabinets, and finish prepping and painting the walls in the bathrooms.
Oh yeah, while I am at it, I need to replace / upgrade the door stops throughout the house, so I don’t have to do this stupid sheet rock repair thing again any time soon.
I have a very bad feeling that my wife conned the bank into dropping the rates just so I would have to do all this work around the house QUICKLY…
On the plus side, the laundry room hasn’t looked this good in years!

well, look on the bright side. Once your finished with all that, you’ll have plenty of time to do workshop stuff… That should get you at least a year away from the Honey-do’s LOL
