I just couldn’t make myself stop last night… It just kept going.
Before I hit the sack, the vise mount block was glued down, the pilot holes were drilled, the vise mounted, and the thick and thin face blocks for the vise were made and mounted.
I am not exactly sure how I measured distance in from the sides incorrectly, but the sides of the blocks do not line up. I have the lines scribed, and will clean this up with a hand saw when I get home tonight.
Since the edge banding isn’t going onto the top, I don’t see any reason to recess the lower shelf, Once the base is assembled, I am going to measure and double / triple check my math before I go cutting into the remaining Birch ply.
Yep…. I think I am going to have a completed project to post by the end of this weekend. Actually, if all goes well and I get up off my back pockets and finish carpeting kitty condo, I might have 2… This is too cool!
