I haven’t had a chance to run the dust collection hose yet but here is a short video of the new Sawstop guard with dust collection.

The audio works just fine on this post, David. Thanks for the post.

I assume that you can either hook it up on its own separate line or connect it via a y fitting to the existing dust port.

Nice new toy! Let’s hope you never have to test it out, as the promo videos show, since the mechanism that stops the blade actually ruins the blade too.

Okay so this saw will stop when you touch the blade. Hopefully you never get that close but I find that when you can’t see the blade you don’t get high quality cuts? Kind of seems that the guard is useless. I’ve seen the maker of sawstop stick his finger in to the blade and not even get scratched. Just a thought. Nice saw though!
