Powematic 60 8" Jointer, Good deal? [EDIT] It's mine! Check out the thread for photos and video. - 30 replies I’m looking at a powermatic model 60 (8”) jointer from a consignment shop. The only thing they know about it is that it is wired for 110V and runs when they turn it on. Besides checking the tables for parallel is there anything else I should check? They’re asking $650 which includes delivery. |

Anyone used RTA cabinets? - 7 replies I tried searching the forums but didn’t see much regarding the various ready-to-assembly (RTA) cabinet stores online. I’m curious if anyone else has used them and what your experience has been. The guy who previously owned it took meticulous care of it, it looks like it came straight out of the box with a sprinkling of sawdust... |

10" vs 12" sliding compound miter saw - 39 replies I’ve been researching different sliding compound miter saws, and basically narrowed it down to the Bosch 4310 (10”) or 5312 (12”). The biggest thing (capacity wise) I want it for is making large cross cuts of rough and finished lumber, and since the cross cutting capacity is basically the same for both, I was planning on gettin... |

Cherry lumber on craigslist - 15 replies Found a local guy on craigslist selling kiln dried 4/4 cherry at a good price per bf, since I’m pretty new to working with hardwoods, is there anything I should look out for? I’m going to check out the wood tomorrow night and potentially buy as much as I can fit in the truck if the quality seems good. “cherry boards 4/4, 5... |
