Air Filteration/Cleaner

I am in the process of researching air filtration/cleaners units. I am currently looking a 3 different ones. Delta Model # 50-875 1200cfm max. $439.00
Jet Model # AFS-1500 1500cfm max $479.00
Grizzly Model # G9956 1400cfm max. $339.00

All prices include shipping. I have several Delta tools including a new floor 17” drill press. I’ve always been satisfied with Delta’s quality. But lately I’ve been looking at other brands, including Grizzly.

I guess my question is, is the quality of Grizzly brand tools comparable to some of the bigger name brands. In the next couple of years I am planning on upgrading a few of my smaller tools, including my table saw to a cabinet saw with a 50” fence and the Grizzly Model # G0691 looks nice and the price is a lot lower than a Delta Unisaw. So before that purchase I thought I would buy a couple of smaller Grizzly tools and give them a try.

Any thoughts from Grizzly tool owners would be appreciated.

I’ve got a grizzly jointer and a benchtop spindal sander. They are well built machines and I’m extremely happy with both. Grizzly did not compromise on the quality at all.

I had a 6” jointer from Grizzly. I quickly out grew its small capacity and have sold it. While I had it there was never an issue. It did everything I threw at it without hesitation. The jointer was replaced with a Crescent 8” from about 1930. 3fingerpat now owns the Grizzly

I own about 6 Grizzly tools and really like all of them oddly enough the only one I had problems with is air filtration like your looking at . The problem I’ve had with it is the remote only works after allot of attempts and then it starts and the same with turning it off. It might just be my particular unit.

I have the PM 1200 air filtration system. I am very pleased with it. One of the things I like is you a can replace the pre-filter with a standard 1×12x24 furnace filter that can be purchased at the hardware store.

Last month I purchased a Grizzly 3hp shaper, combo spindle/disk sander and 8” jointer. They are all fine tools, but they are not the same as Powermatic, Delta, etc. Good idea to purchase small and see if Grizzly is a good fit for you.

Check out Tools-Plus for your air filter. Air filtration and dust collection is the best money can spend.

I have a Grizzly band saw, drill press & jointer and have 0 complaints. I would not hesitate buying from this manufacturer.

I just got a Grizzly Wet Grinder & Belt Sander to add to my sharpening station and like both of them.
That catalog they’ll send you free is a monster.
I’m glad to hear about the Jointer 3fingerpat has because I think that’s going to be one of my new purchases.
