Another Weekend Gone

Another weekend gone and not much to show for it. Helped a friend make a couple of benches for the table I did some detail routing on a week or so back. Still working on planeing that old salvaged lumber, I think I’ve pretty well got as much usable wood out of it as I can. Working on a small weather station now just a weekend project, applying the polystain over the next couple of days. I downloaded sketch-up from google (the free version) and installed it. It looks to be kind of a complex program, I guess I’ll be trying to figure it out over the next couple of weeks or so. Also I’ve been thinking about starting my own web site, seems a little intimidating, I guess I’d rather be in the shop than in front of a computer monitor. Oh well just thinking about it.

David, it sounds like you had a pretty productive weekend. It is always nice to be able to help friends, neighbors and family with the skills that we have been gifted. And have fun learning Sketchup. It had a pretty steep learning curve for me. I worked with it for awhile before being able to produce passable results. But the biggest boost came from help that DaveR. His help got me on the right track.
