I spent part of my Sunday in the Sawdust Shed, as I often do. Yesterday’s time was spent working on some salvaged lumber that I picked up from an old tobacco barn a couple of years back. I originally got the lumber to make a manger for our Christmas display in the front yard. I had enough left over to make a table top and hopefully a small bookcase for my son to take off to college with him. Next weekend will most likely be spent doing quarterly tool maintenance. Adjusting, lubricating and coating all cast tool tops with a rust inhibitor saves a lot of time and effort later on with steel wool.

David, sounds like you had an interesting day. Any day spent in the shop is always time well spent.
