After a number of changes to the design, here it is.

Cherry, walnut, and mahogany, with some poplar structural support for the drawers.

Minimal sanding, mostly planes and scrapers.

So my dog has decided that my wife’s shoes near our entryway are his new favorite chew toys. In response, I’m going to build a cabinet for the entryway, with doors.

I’ve decided to try my hand at designing in Google SketchUp….

I plan to make it from solid cherry, with 1/4” walnut ply for the panels.
