I've been woodworking since 2004. I got the bug when I saw all the cool toys, I mean tools, our contractor got to play with while he was remodeling our kitchen.
By day I'm a Software Engineer at an investment bank so it's nice creating things that won't vanish if the electricity runs out :)
My woodworking goal is to get a project featured in the pages of Fine Woodworking :)

Thanks guys, this looks to be a great site; one I might end up spending a little too much time on :) I’ll post a couple of my previous projects a little later, I also have some designs for a matching console table that I’d like to share.

Thanks Mike, after finishing the bed it was nice to be able to knock out the bench in a relatively short period of time. If you haven’t already definitely check out veneering, it’s very simple and allows you to use some stunning pieces of lumber in your projects. David Marks inspired me to give it a whirl and www.joewoodworker.com provided the know how and everything I needed to get up and running.

Software and woodworking! I have yet to meet a software engineer that could swing a hammer. You’re than man and an inspiration to me. I like all aspects of technology but also love getting my hands dirty.
