i was just looking at the homemade V drum sander that was posted in projects a little bit ago. I saw that he made the drum out of the laminated cardboard tube inside a shrink wrap role. Where I work I have tons of these, and I actually have some at my apartment (I took some, thinking I would make something out of them, but never did). If anyone wants one of these to make a V drum sander or any other crazy idea, let me know, and I’m sure (as long as shipping isnt a ton) I could ship one out to ya!! I’ve learned so much from this site, and have gotten so much enjoyment out of it – this is my way of giving back!! Just let me know! I think I have like 5 of them, but can definitely get more.

The drums are 21 inches long and about a 3 1/4 circumference. Before I make any promises, let me go to the post office and see what shipping will be. Send me a private message with your mailing info and I’ll see what I can do!!

Post some pics. I am not entirely sure what you are talking about. Shrink wrap roll?

Hey Newconstruction, I actually dont’ work at that place anymore. BUT….if you need one. Go to Lowes, or Menards, or any of those big box stores. These places have TONS of them. They are simply the insides of shrink wrap roles. these stores just throw them away when they are done – i’m sure you can get someone to save a couple for you!!!
