This book was a revelation for me and started me down the path to higher quality work. It is such an easy read with so many Ah yes moments. When I am in a funk sometimes, I still pick it up to re-energize myself. Not a technique book, but a Zen experience. I even gave a copy of this book to my father to read, and he isn’t even a woodworker!

I have been lucky enough to sit down with JK up in Fort Bragg over a beer at his place, and spend some time in his little shop. I understand he can be a bit persnickety, but he has always been very nice to me. His advice is in no way practical for saving time, but results in outstanding quality of work.

Yes, reading James Krenov’s books changed the way I look at woodworking too. He has a nice little web site too jameskrenov.com.

An item on my wish list for a couple years now… maybe I’ll have to play Santa on this one.

I picked up all of my copies on a used book site on the web.

They are great.
