this is my workshop. as you can see it is a small basement workshop it measures 9 ft x 13 ft. until about 3 weeks ago it was poorly laid out and i started to move some things around. i only have portable tools but they work for me now and atleast i can do something down there. the ceiling height is any where from 6 feet excactly to 6 feet 2. with the duct running down the middle it is about 5 ft 6. but atleast i have somewhere to work. being a basement shop in an old house i do have moisture issues. i am in the process of dealing with them. i need to eliminate these issues if i want to get the delta contractor saw my dad wants to give me.well that is my shop. and dont feel bad some people dont have that.

Joe,

You have a nice shop in which to work. I have often said that any shop is a good shop. While yours may be a little cramped for headroom you have organized your shop well and you have some nice tools to play with.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

I don’t suppose you could get that heating pipe up a bit higher as it would drive me crazy ducking under that all the time.I would then whiten the walls to make it look brighter and make the best use of the space otherwise nice shop well done Dad.Alistair

I’m also a “cellar dweller” and any shop is good. I find my shop to be the place I’m most comfortable and at ease, compared to any other. To combat any H2O issues try to keep things well oiled to prevent tarnish and rust

Hey man, my first shop was much like yours. I’ve said it before, they are great places to hole up in when it’s rainy or blizzarding. As always, bbqKing

looks fine to me…my first “shop ” was one end of a long kitchen / dining room in an apartment…. LOL…sometimes I miss all of the fun things I made during the early days of the learning process : ) Best wishes to you !
