My name is Chris Wellman and I am the owner/operator of a small custom woodworking and design business in Hope, Maine. I started Buzzell Hill Woodworking and Design in 2007. Prior to this venture I worked in the woodworking industry for 16 years. I learned traditional woodworking techniques the old fashioned way and that is by apprenticing and learning hands-on. Everything I build is constructed out of solid wood with traditional mortise and tenon joinery and all finishes are hand rubbed. My cabinetry and furniture designs are built to last a lifetime and are also built to be highly functional. I also design 3-D computer drawings for my customer's so they can visualize concepts before the construction phase begins.

I thrive on building the highest quality products and therefore nothing leaves my shop unless I'm completely proud and satisfied with the final product.
