Coffee table in progress

Finally got a couple of days of warm weather in my part of the country. My wife wanted a coffee table and three end tables. So the adventure starts, these will be the first real furniture that I have tried to make. After watching the Video by Charles Neil, I got inspired to get this project started. Went to the wood store and got some walnut for the legs. In the picture below you can see that I have the legs ruffed to size and my first mortises cut by hand. I made a test tennon and they came out better than I thought they would.

Here is a picture of the wood top for the coffe table. Got two pieces of hickery and glued them together. I realy like the color of the top so far.

The pictures aren’t the best but you get the idea.
Let me know what you think, good or bad.
