What a day. I bought a woodworking plan a few days back called 24 Hour Workbench. Started on it this weekend. The plan calls for SYP so I picked up a few 2.8’s at HD. Started on the frame- mortise and tenons. Went well fro a while. The first tenons were 3/4” cut them and the mortises ok. The next ones were 2” long tenons – no problem. The mortises however have proven to be a challenge. First hole and my forstner bit got stuck. Trying to get it off and the chuck in my drill press flew out…. Cut my finger in the process. Blood everywhere. Looks like someone butchered a hog. I did get 2 mortises made and am less than happy with them. I didn’t...
