Got the holes welded up and put a little primer on

Really nice job, if you want to take it to the next mile. You should look into leading the weld. It is an automotive technique for getting ultra smooth finishes with lead. It’s also a fairly quick process and not too expensive… you just have to deal with lead. Bondo works good too.
