Routing freehand or in a router table.... - 9 replies
I plan building a desktop that is about 1” thick and am considering using a 1” or 3/4”??? round over bit for the edge treatment (this would be done from the bottom side; leaving the top edge flat). Would you consider this size bit excessively dangerous to use free hand?

Would anyone have any ideas for a “Mantle” headboard? My wife happened to see somebodies headboard that resembled a colonial mantle; now she wants one…. Any ideas? I have never built a mantle… there is not much need for one in Florida.
