I've been woodworking for a couple of months now and have been learning everything I can from all of you. I just completed a couple of projects and decided I should sign up and contribute. I'll post the projects soon.
Building speakers is what brought me to woodworking. I realized I wasn't going to be able to afford higher end speakers so I decided to build them myself. I've learned a lot, but have a long way to go. I'm now branching out and building some furniture (bed, with night stand and dresser to come). It's been a lot of fun but also a little nerve racking...the cost of nicer wood adds up and I don't want to waste any of it with mistakes.
I currently have a Makita track saw, Ryobi plunge router and a Hitachi miter saw. I was hoping to avoid buying a table saw, but I've found that there are times when it would come in handy. I'll be watching the forums for advice.
