I am a 33 year old Construction Project Manager for a small GC in the Baltimore area. I went to the University of MD and graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering, and directly after graduating, worked for one of the top 5 GC's in the nation for almost 10 years. During those 10 years I was out of town for 4 1/2 years. This cut into my family / home time, and this is why I moved onto the company I am with right now. With that move I have been able to start to get caught up on house work and begin my wood working hobby (mostly out of necessity right now).

Of my first 3 projects there is only one that I would consider "for me"...You will see a pic of my table top cigar humidifier soon (nothing special, but it holds 70% humidity, and that is what it is supposed to do!)

I’m a newbie to this site, but a long time surfer of it. I enjoy looking at everyone’s work. It helps me to come up with some of my own ideas.

I started off building speaker boxes for my car about 16 years ago, and now I’m starting to make furniture…Never thought I’d be doing that, but there is a satisfaction to making something yourself.

I don’t have anything posted yet, but will take some pictures and post them over the next couple of weeks.

Hello Craig,

Let me welcome to LJs. I am sure that you will find being a member of this group to be both a rewarding and an inspirational part of your woodworking adventure.

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Thanks for all of the welcomes!!

Just so everyone knows, I already do love this site, and waste a good bit of time here looking at other peoples projects. It’s amazing how someone elses project can spark that creative thing in your own head. (i.e. I was going to buy a table top cigar humidor, but looked around on here and did a little homework on how humidors work, and then I decided to make one!)

I’m just finally saying thanks for all of the great ideas…Who knows, maybe my work will do the same.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
