I folded over that page in Woodsmith also when I first saw the plan….................

Looks nice. My immediate thought was to make two of them. One just like yours and another that would mount the handle on a large chamfer on the top edge of the oak block. This one would be nice to use on a shooting board for squaring up the end of a board.
