Here is the cast iron top and wings after clean up and waxing. Boeshield T-9 applied and then rubbed on Carnauba paste wax.

Also, I spray painted Rustoleum hammered gray on the inside of the grid; spray painted Rustoleum white on the underside of the top.

Looks like you did a great job!

I use the Boeshield also, but haven’t put wax over the top—how do you like that combination? Does it protect the cast iron longer, or does it just make it slicker?

I’m not sure how long before I get the saw back together and make sawdust. The top is a lot slicker after wiping the paste wax on.

Wow! You’ve done a fantastic cleanup on this good iron. I’ve got an old 50’s model Craftsman and I luv it. She purrs like a kitten on 120. The motor will convert to 220, but, I’m almost afraid to mess with it. One o these days I may do it. I’ve got some 3” Maple that will like that better than the 120.
