Really like the router combo. A terrific buy for the bucks. Like the powerful variable speed, the 1/4” and 1/2” chucks, the template guides, very quite and fun to use. The plunge base is a snap to use. A disquieting issue though. During the process of making a really nice portable router table I switched over to the plunge base. I went to clean up the fixed base and noticed on the inside of the plastic scale ring that stress cracks are beginning to form. One of the stress cracks is about 3/4” long. I’ve written to Hitachi (haven’t yet giving them time to respond) but the stress cracks do concern me for longevity.
Has anyone had the same types of issues? Or, are there other issues that I need to be aware of?
Thanks,
Cooksterman

This is not one of the routers I own but it seems to have many positive reviews on Amazon
