KM12VC Hitachi Router (fixed and plunge base)
Really like the router combo. A terrific buy for the bucks. Like the powerful variable speed, the 1/4” and 1/2” chucks, the template guides, very quite and fun to use. The plunge base is a snap to use. A disquieting issue though. During the process of making a really nice portable router table I switched over to the plunge base. I went to clean up the fixed base and noticed on the inside of the plastic scale ring that stress cracks are beginning to form. One of the stress cracks is about 3/4” long.
