Project Information

This is a cabinet I've been working on for the last couple of months. It is a 30-gun gun cabinet made of quarter sawn white oak. It is in 2 sections, an upper unit and a base unit, measuring 9 foot wide, 8 foot high and 16 inches deep overall. The drawer covers and doors on the base unit are made of 3/4 inch plywood trimmed in solid stock. The drawers themselves are made of 3/4 inch plywood and banded on the top edge. The glass doors have an inside frame which holds the glass in place, allowing you to replace the glass if necessary. The last two pictures show the cabinet once it was installed and filled. This was quite a big project for my small shop and I had to keep the two sections on dollies and move one unit outside in order to work on the other unit. This is by far the biggest gun cabinet I have ever built. You can see some of the previous gun cabinets I have made in my projects.

Nice cabinet. Must be a bird hunter or trap or skeet shooter. Awful lot of shotguns ;-)

That's a BIG cabinet. As David said the detail quality is there. Great job.

A great piece of furniture for an inner city dweller. :)

If big is beautiful, this one is off the charts on beauty. Great looking cabinet Tom and as David said, it's built to your usual fine standards.

This is an awesome gun cabinet! I'll have to keep this in mind to build something like it someday. I just need 30 more guns and I'd be able to fill it up!

Long time, no see. Now I know why.
