Project Information
This is a built in that I made to fit into a hole in the bathroom. I made this out of some 3/4 cabinet plywood from a big box store that was on sale for $27 a sheet. I picked through it and found the best pieces that I could although most of it was garbage.
The case is assembled with dados using the Whiteside undersized router bit set. I will say that I wish I bought this set a long time ago.
The face frame is pine trim to match the same trim in the bathroom.
The drawers are half inch plywood that I assembled using pocket screws. I figured it was just easier to use pocket screws and its not going to get a lot of heavy use anyway.
The drawer fronts are 1/2 inch plywood with some oak picture frame molding I had sitting around. I needed a way to use it up and this looked like a good place to use it.
This wasn't my best work but ended up coming out pretty well anyway. My first time mounting drawer slides and doing a cabinet that was this big. It was about 79 inches tall.
I plan on installing this after I finish the tile. I will post an installed picture later on.
Let me know if you have any tips or comments.
