Very nice project!
I'm a big fan of soda blasting.
I use a lot of driftwood (Ohio and Licking Rivers) and reclaimed woods in my studio.

Really cool project.
This is new to me also, could you post a few more pictures?
Is that like sand blasting?

That did come out very nice! What kind of wood is that? Just curious because I've heard that some woods work better with blasting than others.

It is soft pine wood.

It is the same as sand blasting but the medium is Bicarbonate of Soda. It is not so harsh a medium as sand and gives you a different texture.
