Project Information

My pops was looking through my Penn State Industries magazine and saw a brass scratch awl and hinted to me that he wanted one for his birthday. I had a few things I needed to get from there anyways so I ordered it along with the stuff I needed. Got it turned and I was happy with the results. The wood for the handle is Indian Rosewood. Great looking and a very hard wood seemed like a great piece for this project.

Penn State Ind. is a great place to get parts/kits of this nature.

Andrew - I like that..lol
@ Dusty, Doc, Dennis, & Tim - His B-day isn't till April 23rd but I have had it in kit form for a while and finally got it done. I couldn't wait around to give it to him, I was so happy with it and I knew he wanted to show it off so I went ahead and gave it to him early.

Roger - Penn State Ind. does have great kits but I found a website that has Penn State Ind pen kits for cheaper than Penn State does called Woodnwhimsies.com. Great site and they have a bunch of stuff(kits, blanks, etc.)

I myself likes to set back and admire it also. I didn't think the wood was going to look like much but after I got it turned I was wrong. I agree with you Napoleon!!
