I just looked at my homepage. I can't believe it. I've been with LJ's for a whole year. The reason I find it hard to believe is that I have never achieved so much, in my woodworking, in one year before. Not only have I made a lot of new and different things but I tried new and different techniques. Things I would not have tried before. That is why the thank you. I don't think I would have achieved half of what I have this year without the inspiration, friendship and support I have found here. I have made 66 new friends, completed 38 projects and made sundry other ramblings (blogs, forum, review).
Once more thank you all for your help, friendship and interest and thanks to Martin Sojka for starting the site in the first place.
I feel exactly the same way Martyn, except I've only been here a few months. Unlike you however I'm getting a little burned out and don't think I will be keeping up the pace for a whole year. Congratulations on a fantastic year's work and thank You for sharing it with us.
Congratulations Martyn. I too enjoy being part of the LJ community. It is a great place to meet people and that share many common interest. I am always amazed at your projects and techniques and your williingness to share it with others.
You may have pushed yourself hard this year but you are helping others to push as well. I am not sure that I would have tried so many things this past year as well with out alot of the influences and knowledge that comes from this site. I look forward to your next year on here. Have a great day.
Hi Martyn,
Always love to see you here, and have felt inspired from you often.
Have the same feeling, that the learning curve here are extreme, and that can't keep going like that, but every time here are a pleasure.
Best thoughts, and congratulations,

Congratulations Martyn and Welcome for the future years. Sheila is right, I am one who was inspired about those projects, techniques, accuracy and other aspects that made a new way of doing things in woodworks. I for one very thankful that you are around in the LJ who is very helpful.
Now just get yourself down to the local boozer and have a good few drinks, I'll pay for them. Be sure not to let the dart board give you any design ideas.
nudge nudge, wink wink
Happy Birthday, Hope it's a good one- meaning I hope you spend heaps of time in the workshop doing what you love.
I know what you mean about learning heaps from just being here. It is amazing just how much you try different things because you have the support of so many talented Lj's.
