Who's headed to the Columbus, OH Woodworking Show?

This coming weekend is the Columbus, Ohio Woodworking Show. I'll have my usual booth set up and I'm wondering how many Lumberjocks I'll get to see this year? If you're coming, make sure you stop by the booth and say hello. Like Naomi, I may just rope you into cutting some dovetails.

I'm really hoping there's a good LJ turn out. I always have fun talking to fellow Lumberjocks no matter where I go. Let me know if you're coming.

And, Mr. Clippinger, what's the excuse this year?

Hi Chuck,

Being back in Ohio now (we live in Hicksville which is almost in Indiana), Barb and I are hoping to come to the Woodworking Show on Saturday. Hope to see you there. I'd like to meet the guy who caught Glen Huey napping. Hopefully, the weather cooperates and you can inspire me to make a lowboy LOL.

Take care,
Jim

Dave,

I will be at Saratoga Springs. I'll be doing my dovetail and carving demos in the exhibitor area. Hope to see you there.

Jim,

It'll be great to meet you. I'll do what I can to get the napper to drive up for at least some of the show.

I would love to come down for it, but I just left Columbus for another conference this morning….sadly, I am in Cleveland and we are just waiting for the power to go out from our ice storm…I may be buying a generator with tool and woodworking show money…I guess i am going to need that more In the future than a new festool sander….hmmm…maybe the festool is more important.

If I get down there, I will certainly stop by.

We used to go every year, but after the general decline in the quality and quantity of vendors, it has been hard to justify it. I have an issue paying $10 to go and look at infomercial items that a woodworker really would not be interested in. Plus the booth babes were somewhat annoying.

Chuck,

I recently bought a set of plans from FWW for making a lowboy (Phil Lowe). I confess that I haven't made a cabriole leg yet. I am especially unclear how much rounding is okay along that outermost and front facing edge of the leg. One of these days I'd love to see a good example of what they are supposed to look like.

Andrew,

Unfortunately, I am unable to make the trek to Ohio this season. Would have been a pleasure to meet you. Columbus is always a heavily traveled show by Lumberjocks. I'm sure you'll meet a few if you go. Sorry to miss the party this year folks. Perhaps next?
