Project Information

This is a very simple all-pocket hole-joineries entertainment center project using my shopmade jig. All the 3/4" plywoods were also attached to the frames by means of pocket holes screws. The entire project is finished with walnut stain and poly varnish. My apologies for the poor picture qualities as I only used my celfone cam.

Turned out very nice piece of furniture. Great job on working with plywood too.

Pocket holes are king! I pocket everything. I probably go through a box of 7000 within a year.

Wow, very nicely done. I was looking for the pocket holes in the finished piece but could not find the easily. I like the open design too.

Very nicely built entertainment center! That you used a shop built jig makes it even more accomplished. Well done! Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Fantastic job on the e.c, armand….I just finished building one for a customer similar to yours. It was made of oak plywood and oak trim. Had 2 rows of open shelves for components, but I built 4 drawers at the bottom with full extention drawers slides to house DVDs, CDs, manuals, extra remotes, etc.. Also spaced the drawers for a subwoofer to fit in between…You did a great job on yours. I really like it when a plan comes together…

That looks first class. I love PH's. They have some serious strength and make quick work of a project. Did you plug them? If so did you use a dowel or premaid?

Thanks to all the positive comments.

@vicki: I didnt plug the holes in the frames since all of them are hidden when covered with plywoods. Those in the plywoods were plugged with putty and the stain did all the tricks.

Beautiful shelves. I've always wanted to make something like that. Unfortunately there is not enough space to put it in the house.

The pocket jig is a great ideal.
