Project Information
The Reclining Nude spoon I pulled out of a brush pile last week. I think it is Live Oak.
The second is Black Cherry Burl and I carved the bowl around the concentric circles.
The squiggly one is cherry.
On the Witch I left the bark attached on the bowl and the hat, hair and face. It was a piece of Witch Hazel (hence the name) that I cut a bullet in half on the first cut.
The Lizard is from the same piece of Black Cherry as the other. Couldn't give much detail to the feet so I made him club-footed.
The last one is called 'A Salute to Norm' and is Maple Burl. If you haven't seen his work, he makes the prettiest spoons on this planet. www.normsartorius.com
Thanks for looking.
