Project Information
This is a where I take my Baseball Bed and turn it into a loft. Not only one but I did two for this customer. It's final destination was Westport, Connecticut.
It features a totally customized headboard, which on this one is huge. I also use real Louisville Slugger bats for the guardrails. The ladder is incorporated into the side, which makes for a simple design.
Last but not least is the slide. Every baseball player need to be able to slide. The slide was the hardest part. This customer was concerned about the slide getting into the room, so I designed it to break down if needed. On the back side of the slide is adjustable shelves to utilized that normally wasted space.
This was built in September 2010. I've also build a Murphy loft bed version of this, check it out if you get a chance. Along with the loft was a dresser, "Rookie Card mirror": and a "nightstand"
