Project Information

Music and cooking are a big part of my life. My daughter mentioned that she needs some serving spoons, and that got me thinking. She did play violin, and still owns and plays a piano.I consider the violin the most beautiful instrument, I hope I did not disrespect the violin too much with this. This will be a birthday gift.

Mahogany, 14" x 3 & 1/4 ", with a rubbed off oil finish. The support is basswood.

Wow that is a great project.

You will have to show me how to carve. Going to get down that way this spring.

I think that you respected the beauty of the violin and made it very useful at the same time. The old
wooden spoons used to be a good thumper of troublesome children and grandchildren, so this spoon may
have several uses.

I love it. very elegant design , only problem is that people will think it is a centerpiece and not use it when it is on the table.

Nice, but what about a fork ? maybe a tuning fork, lol
