Project Information
I just finished refinishing this dresser. I have invested $13 for gel stain, and I have 3/4s of it left, $32 for hardware, left over poly, and 2 screws, along with $10 of sandpaper. It took probably 4 hours of sanding, and 1 hour of applying stains, and poly. I got $160 for the whole thing, is that fair, or should I have negotiated better?
This was my sons old dresser, I needed to get it out of my garage (workshop) anyway. It is made mostly of real wood, no fiberboard. but yes plywood. Not sure what kind of wood but at least some kind of malaysian wood that sands easily and smells like teak, but is maple colored with some thin black streaks.
If anyone has a geuss as to the type of wood I would be interested in hearing it.
