Project Information

Finally! My wife can't hold it over my head that I'm yet to finish a project in the new house. Didn't have time to make a fancy table so I went with simplicity. The top is the old mantle to our fireplace. The legs and sides are old scraps of wood the last owners left in the garage of our house. I'm not a huge fan of walnut so I took off the mantle and decided to recycle the wood. I sanded it and gave it a nice routed edge and different stain. The detail in the front is not hand carved. Didn't have time. Only thing left is to use the wood burner to place the letter M on the front.

What it lacks in "fancy," it makes up for in stately, elegant, and well-crafted !

Yup, agree with woodworkerscott, it looks good as it is.
You have one very tidy and neat hound, mine strews food around her bowl to a radius of about 2 feet!

Anti-walnut…How can this be? I love walnut. That's it..your blocked..LOL. But your table looks great. I agree with the "leave as is". Looks at home just like it stands.
