Project Information

My wife wanted me to make her something special, so I decided on this. It only took me about 5 minutes to make, but it took her about 41 weeks to finish it. She finally finished it on September 22 at about 6:53. As you can see it's not very large, only 20 inches long and weighs 7 lbs 6 oz. We decided to name it Gavin Reece Mann. As this is my first project of this type I would appreciate any constructive criticism anyone would have, so I can make the next one better.

What a wonderful finish.
That is Craftman/womanship at the highest level.
It is also a good investment if you oil on a regular basis at first.

All the best to your family from ours.

Boy what a little bundle of joy that you have there. That's Fine boy, and I'll bet he's a chip off of the ole block. Nice work, dad. Of course we also think that dear ole mom deserves some of the credit don't we? :)

I'm happy for the both of you and congratulations.

Congratulations on a fantastic project!

As others have said practice is very important. The beauty of this type of project is that while your wife is finishing the next one, you can continue to practice for the one after that. :)

Congratulations Mommy and daddy,
Now you can wear the rockers off the new rocking chair.
After 40 years of raising kids, the greatest secret I have learned is for you and momma to be on the same page in front of the kids. If you disagree on raising methods, do it in private. Whether you are right or wrong really is not as important as the unity between the parents. Best wishes on this lifetime project, because you never really get them raised. lol
You have an absolutely beautiful family! God Bless, Rand

Dito on all the above, congratulations. Although,.... somehow I don't think your all finished yet? I'm guessing you'll be putting in some more work on this one, and what about accessories? I bet you have some of those accessories on your project list. Well done. Will be watching for updates.
