Thanks oscorner! Unfortunately, my projects up to this point have been utitarian in nature and most for my parents (to solve various storage/organizational problems). My wife and I had our house built a couple of years ago, and I'm just getting around to setting up shop. I just wish I knew what I would've needed for a decent shop before we had the house built! As it is, my shop will most likely occupy a small area in my basement about the size of a 1 car garage split up between two adjoining rooms. For right now, everything is in the garage, but the seasons are just too extreme to work in there on a regular basis. I'm looking forward to a refinish project my mom has - it will involve refinishing a coffee table and replacing three tile panels in the top with (hopefully) some nicely figured wood. Also, I was planning on a new bookcase for her. Then there's the garage reorganization project for my dad, the landscaping for our house, and - of course - I have to squeeze my alotted fishing excursions from spring through fall. Since it's too cold to do anything in the garage in the winter, you now see why I need to set up shop in the basement! I don't have time during the better months to do any real woodworking!!!
Hopefully, more to come from my infancy staged shop this year!
