Project Information

So i was accepted into my first craft show (first time applying, it was a juried show and i got in). So my plan is to make around 100 intarsia ornaments for this show… Not to mention a couple of kaleidoscopes, a few cutting boards, 8 photo frames, some wine stoppers, and a few bandsaw boxes. But i thought if i get my ornaments out of the way, the other stuff should be "cake." My goal is to have close to all 100 shaped and hopefully glued by the end of august, giving me till Dec 1 to finish / start my other items. I have only been going to woodshop on Tuesdays and spending 4 hours a night there, so i think i have accomplished a lot just going Tuesdays. As the show draws nearer i'll have to spend more Saturdays.

Photos:

1: An assortment of ornaments, some are missing from this photo

2. Angel children praying

3. An assortment of ornaments: Penguins with hats, cats with Christmas hats, and angels

4. Angels, Finches, chickadees, penguin with scarf and hat, cardinal

5. Chipmunks and Polar bears

6. some 4X6 photo frames (Kathy Wise fall leaf pattern), and 4 birds - 2 cardinals and two yellow finches

since I've taken these photos I've made some cute puppy dogs with bows (6 of them), and (2) peace doves. I have a total of 71 ornaments cut, but not all of them are shaped / glued. I will be doing some shaping on my vacation. I have a few more designs i want to do, but i think i'll reach my deadline, if not i don't see myself getting too far behind.

The show is on December 3rd, and I'm feeling confident right now as to what i will be able to do.

You may not have enough. My booth was next to a lady at an October show a couple years ago who sold wood Christmas tree ornaments. Hers were just flat thin pieces with burned pyrographic details. She sold out the first day. People go crazy over these things, especially close to Christmas. Good luck with your show.
