Project Information
Hi all
I built a coffee table to solve a problem, we had photo's my wife wanted to display somewhere, as we didnt have the wall space,
I came up with an idea for a coffee table with interchangable face, because it's great to have a fresh look in the house !!
We had photo's of our wedding in it , but felt it was time to change it !! my Wife is a huge Twilight fan, so I downloaded pics from the net, got them printed on 6×4 photo paper and scattered them on the coffee table !! the result is fantastic !!!
it is very funtional !!
I wanted to share this idea with everyone , the "table" pictured was made out of pine, I painted it black to give it a modern look !!
It has an MDF sheet under it, to cover it up, I bought black cardboard, then i put the pictures on that !!
I put a hole in the MDF base, so I push the glass up & out to change the look of table !!
The specs are
1270mm x 870mm
Top timber size 110mm x 20mm
Glass 1050mm x 650mm
Please note !! I made the table ,then went to glazier & ordered glass to exact spec size !! he got the size I wanted perfect !!
Base : MDF 1200mm x 800mm x 6mm thick
legs & base from 90mm x 40mm pine.
this is a great idea that finally I put to fruition !!!
It's fantastic
Regards
Anthony
