Is there a word to describe the type of furniture building that involves the abstract, swirling carving of the wood used in furniture (besides gorgeous)? Seems like there should be. If not, let's invent one. Benji Style, Reyes Treatment? I can see I'm going to have to become much more familiar with exotic woods to really appreciate them fully. This lovely piece reminds me of luscious swirls of chocolate. Something edible. Something to run one's hand over. Tactile, warm.

You, know, Benji…How about a piece that doesn't have a flat top? What would it be like to have a top with the same type of swirls? If you wanted to decorate that type of top, toss on a few orchids or pebbles of jade. I'm not a knick-knack type of person anyway and don't like anything on top of a work of art, so why keep it flat? It wouldn't even have to be sand-duned, how about something geometric with angles? Would the wood stand up to that? Or, have you already done it and we just haven't seen a picture yet? I hope we get to see a lot more of your earlier work.

Fantastic ! Benji…A real work of art. I would assume it is very heavy because of the woods you used.

Wow! Man you are definitely a master of your craft. Just when we think we have seen it all, you come along and wow us again.

All of the true masters here mention names of the undisputed masters from the past as influencing their designs. Who influenced you the most? Rand
