I always loved pie safes and this is a real nifty one. The copper is a very unique idea.

A very nice pie safe indeed, the finish on the wood complements the copper panels beautifully! Your nephew and his wife are very lucky!

Nicely done though. Nice finish on a challenging wood.

Dean,

Great job on the pie safe. It sure caught my eye! I made this a few months ago.

My wife has requested another one that I am just getting started on. I am looking forward to seeing how the second one goes based on what I learned while building the first one.

Again, congratulations on a wonderful job.

Great job Dean! I also built a couple pie safes from cherry and posted pictures of them. I purchased my tin from Country Accents the quality on yours looks very similar.

Very nice job on that. It looks like it came right out of the 20's. Nice detail. I remember seeing those years ago when some of the older ladies still had theirs. Now I'm one of the older ones and I remember them.
You are making me humgry. I can taste the fresh cherry pies that I used to see in them.

thank you for sharing!

Pine & shellac, can't beat the look. Looks like the one in my grandmother's kitchen when I was a boy, long ago.
