made of pine with punched copper tins,I didn't punch the tins. a gift to my nephew and wife, just because they are great kids. oh the finish is amber shellac.
Great job on the pie safe. It sure caught my eye! I made this a few months ago.
My wife has requested another one that I am just getting started on. I am looking forward to seeing how the second one goes based on what I learned while building the first one.
Great job Dean! I also built a couple pie safes from cherry and posted pictures of them. I purchased my tin from Country Accents the quality on yours looks very similar.
Very nice job on that. It looks like it came right out of the 20's. Nice detail. I remember seeing those years ago when some of the older ladies still had theirs. Now I'm one of the older ones and I remember them.
