Project Information

After my HF air compressor broke, I purchased a new Porter Cable C2002 Pancake Compressor from HD. Because everything in my garage is on wheels, I decided to make a little cart for the new compressor. Originally I was simply going to build a dolly for it, but decided the added height and storage would be useful. The drawer is big enough to fit two hoses, a brad nailer and a few other items. The two "pockets" on the sides hold various adapters and accessories in plastic containers. I also added a couple of hooks on the back for other accessories. With a larger bottom disc being supported by six casters instead of four, this thing is very stable.

I used some wood of the ply tree that I had laying around and stained it with a mixture of ebony and red oak minwax stains, mostly because I need the practice working with stain. Added a couple of coats of poly.

Being a big fan of stuff on wheels and having the exact same compressor, I am excited to see what you have done here. Great job, I think I might have to try this one out for myself!

Nice cart, perfect for the pancake compressors. Why don't you make a few? I am sure you could sell them.
