Project Information

I just completed this log dinner table my brother wanted to give his wife for their anniversary . It has aspen legs and cross members and a beetle kill pine top. I used a self leveling finish on the top and poly on the legs.
The pictures dont really do it justice but it turned out great. It is 3'6" wide and 6' long.

When I clicked on this thread and it opened I said aloud "OH WOW" that is excellent and I would be proud to have built a table that looks that good. Exceptional.

Very nice indeed, I like using the beetle killed pine in my projects. I like how you alternated the boards on the top. I am guessing this is lodgepole pine? Or is it something else? Your creativity is evident in this table.

This is beautiful. I love the contrasting colors and the rustic design. I also really like the use of less commonly-used (but common) woods. Beetle-kill: not just for fires any more.

lovely table and very interesting use of knotty branches for cross braces. Your brother will certainly cherish this table! thanks for posting.

That's totally cool! We have a pizza place here that has similar looking table tops. Even the bathroom sinks are mounted in counters like that.
