Project Information
This box is made from recyled several kinds of woods. Recycled wood.
Top cover is Philppine ebony (Kamagong) about 3/16 thick. I need to frame it with Red 'Balayong'
The sides are balayong, front and rear are not identified (coming from former frames a office 2×3)
The bottom is IPIL also very thin 6 mm.
The special thing is the marquetry. My first time and very time consuming. A lot of night work and gluing work. I am successful in looking for a glue that can easily sawn when dry.
I also use a simple lap joint.
Challenge: Marquetry … how long, what glue, how to cut, how to inlay….
Use lap joint for thin wood.
